Heritage reimagined — monastic architecture as a living infrastructure for the next century.

Overview

Remonastère revives dormant monastic estates as multi-purpose ecosystems where heritage, energy autonomy and contemporary life coexist.

Our long-term goal is to build an international network in which investors take part in the renewal of historic buildings through room-based ownership, while their sustainable operation is secured by events, hospitality and other revenue streams rooted in the character of each site — showing how cultural heritage can be used economically and remain viable over the long term.

Every renewal is also a research project — the experience gathered feeds directly into the next Resource developments.

Site selection

When selecting each site we examine the building's historical value, structural condition, natural environment and future use possibilities at the same time. We favour properties with special natural features, water sources, forests or a favourable microclimate, because these increase the possibility of self-sustainability in the long term.
