Remonastère revives dormant monastic estates as multi-purpose ecosystems where heritage, energy autonomy and contemporary life coexist.
Our long-term goal is to build an international network in which investors take part in the renewal of historic buildings through room-based ownership, while their sustainable operation is secured by events, hospitality and other revenue streams rooted in the character of each site — showing how cultural heritage can be used economically and remain viable over the long term.

Site selection
— 03When selecting each site we examine the building's historical value, structural condition, natural environment and future use possibilities at the same time. We favour properties with special natural features, water sources, forests or a favourable microclimate, because these increase the possibility of self-sustainability in the long term.
More than real-estate
— 04Remonastère is therefore not simply a real-estate development project, but an approach that bridges the experience of the past and the possibilities of the future.

Research is one of the most important elements of the project. During every renewal we document the historical construction technologies, the old energy-use solutions and the natural architectural tools that ensured the comfort of buildings for centuries. Combined with 21st-century technologies, these experiences can give birth to new solutions.
